Symplocos Collection

We have re-introduced the collection of Symplocos leaves as a possible source for income for the women in Hatali (Ermera). Symplocos (Uskai) leaves used to be of high value amongst Tais weavers but the use of it has faded.

Natural dye training for weaver groups

Slide description: Tais weavers receive trainings in natural dyes, introducing new resources and techniques to broaden their palette of colors and enhance the quality of their dyes.

Sewing training in the women prison

twice a week we provide sewing training to the women in the prison in Gleno, and create a production unit to sustain the training program for the prisoners.

Master training indigo

Description: As part of our natural dye expertise centre we organize natural dye workshops and master trainings to promote the use of natural dyes amongst dyers and others who are interested in a circular economy.

Promoting recycling

Slide description: As part of our Ambiente (environment) program we promote the re-utilization of waste material through events and workshops.

Description: Through our social enterprise we sell products, made by our beneficiaries. Our concept store is located at our office in Palapasu, Dili.

Bottle recycling workshop

We regular provide workshops about bottle cutting to school students and other youth groups.

KOR NATURAL

Is a unique program, that focusses on research, conservation, education and market development for natural dyes (colors). This program contributes to economic empowerment of women and to a circular economy/slow-fashion movement.

SUKU

Empowers female textile crafters like embroiderers and sewers. Under this program we provide craft trainings, production and business training for income generation of women.

AMBIENTE

Is our environmental program and focusses on the promotion of a circular economy. We up-cycle waste materials and we raise awareness on waste issues and on climate change.
